The Ciel Garçon de cuisine Mataro is made from Mataro grapes from the Ciel vineyard in Angaston within the Barossa Valley. After fermentation, this wine was matured in a combination of one French Oak and one American Oak barrel for ten months before being blended together. The 2025 vintage yielded only two barrels of Mataro, limiting this release to only 600 bottles.

This wine features fruit forward notes with a soft velvety finish.

This Mataro has been named after the Garçon de cuisine, otherwise known as the "kitchen boy", who performs preparatory and auxiliary work for support, much like the Mataro which is most often used in blends. In the Garçon de cuisine Mataro we have allowed this beautiful grape to shine in its own limelight.
