Ciel Wines was an interest which turned into a passion, an idea which turned into reality for Chef Joshua Mason.

Ciel Wines became an evolutionary step in Chef Joshua Mason's career in hospitality. After training and working in restaurants internationally, he returned to Australia to head up Quoi Restaurant in Sydney's fast growing Hills region.

Chef Joshua Mason now has a portfolio which includes two of his own restaurants, a restaurant that he is the culinary director of, a wine label and a Barossa Valley vineyard with boutique accommodation.

Ciel Vineyard

Ciel Wines have our own vineyard property located on Stockwell Road in Angaston, within the Barossa Valley. Our vineyard has over 10 hectares of vines including Shiraz and Mataro. Grapes are also carefully selected from vineyards throughout the Barossa Valley, the Eden Valley and the Adelaide Hills.

Meribella brings a new era of glamorous coastal dining to Terrigal, with a sophisticated take on the classics inspired by her iconic seaside location and nostalgic old-world charm. The menu at Meribella restaurant and bar is designed and overseen by Joshua Mason in his role is Culinary Director of the restaurant.

Ciel House

Ciel House is our beautiful French style boutique accomodation located on our vineyard property on Stockwell Road in Angaston, within the Barossa Valley. The 4 bedroom property is available to rent and is also included as a benefit within our Ciel Wines membership reward program.

About Chef Joshua Mason

After spending 15 years working in some of the world's best restaurants alongside some impressively talented sommeliers, and having constructed hundreds of menus, many of which were carefully paired with outstanding wines from all around the world, I developed a love and passion for wine, especially as part of a meal.

Having owned and operated Quoi Dining for over 5 years, I always had a dream to enter the wine making game and use my refined Chef's palette to carefully create a label that focused on quality wines to be enjoyed by everyone.

CIEL wines was this next step in my career and has now been followed with my latest venture, the Ciel Rooftop Restaurant in Norwest. I hope you enjoy my wines as much as I have enjoyed producing them.
